Counselling and therapy in Sheffield
I am a BACP* Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Supervisor offering counselling, psychotherapy and supervision in Sheffield. I work with individuals (adults and young people)and couples. For supervision or other development activities, I work with individuals and groups .Whatever your problem or issue – personal, relationship, work or life - we can work together for change and healing.
I have been in practice since 1997 and am based at Nether Edge, Sheffield S7. There are bus stops within a minute's walk and free parking on the road outside. The train station is a short taxi or bus ride away,so I am accessible from locations such as Stockbridge, Chapeltown, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Chesterfield. There is disabled (but not wheelchair) access.
I offer an introductory one-hour session for £35 (the normal rate is £45 - with discretion to offer a reduced rate in certain circumstances ). In this we can explore your issues and if and how we might work together.
I am supporting The Samaritans Feel Good Friday by donating £3.00 from all counselling sessions for the week ending 3rd February.
My Experience
My initial training was in psychosynthesis counselling and therapy. Since then I have completed courses in NLP, couples counselling and counsellor supervision. For the last 9 years I have been engaged in Jungian analytical psychology.My approach can be summed up as:
The decision to seek counselling is often triggered by an experience of pain, crisis, failure or a sense of discomfort. Underlying this however, is a calling or yearning to be complete in oneSelf. Change is co-created through the individual and the counsellor working with current issues and with future potential.
